High Street Banks offer traineeships meaning that usually you
start training without any formal qualifications. Although there have
been closures of high street banks, telephone and internet banking are
alternative employment markets. There are various levels within the
corporate structure of banks, trainees are often given the title
Personal Account Manager. There are other institutions where you could be employed in, finance companies, private equity companies, brokers, investment banks or leasing companies to name but a few. Attributes A good head for figures goes without saying but good communication, computer and business skills are key to succeeding in this industry. Salary Traineeships with high street bank generally start on £15,000 to £18,000 and many offer a commission structure on top of this the increase your potential earnings. Some positions may be commission only to take into account the fact that you will be earning a high amount and so the need for a basic salary on top is redundant. |
